Announcement on Issuing the National Standard of Code for Design of 110kV-750kV Overhead Transmission Line
The Code for Design of 110kV-750kV Overhead Transmission Line is hereby approved as a Chinese national standard bearing a serial number of GB 50545-2010,and will come into effect on July 1,2010.Articles 5.0.4,5.0.5,5.0.7,6.0.3,7.0.2,7.0.9,7.0.10,7.0.17,7.0.19,13.0.1,13.0.2,13.0.4,13.0.5,13.0.11 are compulsory articles and must be enforced strictly.
This code will be published and distributed by China Planning Press as authorized by Research Institute of Standards and Norms,Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People\'s Republic of China.

Foreword
This code is prepared by China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation in collaboration with associated organizations as required by theNotice on Development and Revision Plan of National Standards for Engineering Construction in 2006 issued by the former Ministry of construction(JB〔2006〕136).
This code has been developed by the task team through serious sum-up of experience,wide investigations and studies,reference to related international and advanced foreign standards,extensive consultations and a number of discussions and revisions,and finalized after review.
This code is organized into 16 chapters and 7 appendices,mainly including:general provision,terms and symbols,routing,meteorological conditions,conductor and earthwire,insulators and fittings,insulation coordination,lightning protection and earthing,conductor arrangement,tower type,tower load and material,tower structure,foundation,clearance to ground and other facilities,environmental protection,labour safety and industrial sanitation,and accessories.
Articles in bold in this code are compulsory and must be observed strictly.
This code is administered by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Peoples Republic of China which will be responsible for the interpretation of compulsory articles.China Electricity Council is responsible for its daily management,and China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation and East China Electric Power Design Institute are responsible for the interpretation of specific technical issues therein.During the implementation of this code,the interests concerned are expected to seriously summarize the experiences and collect the relevant information based on the project practices and at any time refer any comments and suggestions to China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation at the address:No.65,Ande Road,Beijing,Postcode:100120 and East China Electric Power Design Institute at the address:No.409,Wuning Road,Shanghai,Postcode:200063,for reference in the future revision of the code.
