囊玛

双簧管协奏曲

双簧管协奏曲《囊玛》作于1985年，同年于香港亚洲艺术节首演。

《囊玛》是中国第一首用现代技巧（如在双簧管上演奏和音、泛音和微分音等）谱写的双簧管协奏曲，最初无标题，后因曲中浓郁的西藏风格，特以西藏古典歌舞音乐“囊玛”之名，冠以协奏曲标题。在亚洲艺术节演出后，港报评论：“此新作品是亚洲艺术节中一个动人的音乐环节，全中国大地的雄伟洋溢在音色中！”“它有着浓郁的西藏风格，融会了传统协奏曲和现代音乐的技法，创造出一种既古老又现代的情趣与意境。”“它由中国人创作，由美国人（彼德·库柏尔）演奏，由日本人（福村芳一）指挥，表演地点在香港，可谓一首真正的国际性乐曲！”

时隔25年后，乐曲的首演者彼德·库柏尔在给作者的来信中，深情地回忆25年前的情景：

“1984年，我年仅25岁，当时从事的第一份工作是在香港管弦乐团担任双簧管首席。那时乐团经常演奏小提琴协奏曲《梁祝》，该曲优美的旋律和其所蕴含的深邃情感，以及受欢迎的程度都给我留下极其深刻的印象。于是我想到，如果能创作一首类似于《梁祝》的双簧管协奏曲，那将会为乐团曲目锦上添花。因为双簧管是既能够表现缠绵忧伤，又可以抒发欢快情感的乐器。我觉得，由陈钢创作的双簧管协奏曲必能以一种全新的方式捕捉包容这所有的情感特质。

所幸陈钢先生欣然应允，并立刻着手创作了双簧管协奏曲。该曲首演于1985年10月，由我担任双簧管独奏，协奏是香港管弦乐团，由日本指挥家福村芳一先生指挥。我后来得知这是第一首中国的双簧管协奏曲。

陈钢的双簧管协奏曲旋律优美，极具戏剧表现力。他的音乐具有非常强的视觉效果，音乐形象令人联想到中国层峦叠嶂的山水风景。这一作品堪称双簧管世界的瑰宝之作，我为能够参与它的创作而深感荣幸。”

Ma Oboe Concerto

This Oboe Concerto was composed in 1985, and first performed in the same year, at the Asian Arts Festival in Hong Kong.

Nang Ma is the undertaking of a modern technique (using oboe to play the chords, harmonics and differential noise, etc. ), it was a first Chinese composed non-title Oboe Concerto music piece. The music has heavily blended with Tibetan chamber performance music theme, and applied a nice combination of traditional and contemporary techniques. It created a both ancient and modern taste and mood, and received overwhelming appraisal after the premiere performance in Hong Kong. The critiques commented that“it was created by a Chinese composer (Chen Gang), an American Oboist (Peter Cooper), and a Japanese conductor (Yoshikazu Fukumura), at an international city of Hong Kong. This is truly an international master piece of music!”

作曲家介绍

陈钢，1935年生于上海，中国当代著名作曲家。早年师从于父亲陈歌辛和匈牙利钢琴家瓦拉学习作曲和钢琴。1955年考入上海音乐学院，师从丁善德院长和苏联音乐专家阿尔扎马诺夫学习作曲与理论。求学期间，与同学何占豪合作创作的小提琴协奏曲《梁山伯与祝英台》已蜚声中外乐坛。

1959年诞生的《梁祝》，是半世纪来流传最广的中国交响音乐作品。它曾先后荣获多次金唱片与白金唱片奖。此外，陈钢在七十年代创作的“红色小提琴”系列——《苗岭的早晨》《金色的炉台》和《阳光照耀着塔什库尔干》等小提琴独奏曲，也已成为著名的中国小提琴音乐文献。1986年，他所创作的小提琴协奏曲《王昭君》，被喻为《梁祝》的姊妹篇，荣获“中国小提琴协奏曲新作汇展”优秀作品奖，1997年在美国达拉斯公演此作品后，陈钢被授予“达拉斯荣誉市民”称号。2008年，他的小提琴协奏曲新作《红楼梦》问世，并在“上海之春国际艺术节”成功献演。

陈钢创作了中国第一首竖琴独奏曲《渔舟唱晚》和第一首双簧管协奏曲《囊玛》。他在《渔舟唱晚》中，巧妙运用竖琴再现出古筝余韵；而在《囊玛》中，则首次在双簧管上运用了双音、多音与微分音和弦等现代技巧，巧妙地表现出西藏的号角声响与异域风情。此外，他还创作了多部交响诗、大合唱和独特的室内乐合奏作品，如钢琴、小提琴与昆曲三重奏《惊梦》等。他的作品以感人的抒情情怀、浓郁的民族风韵和丰富的当代作曲技巧相融合而见长。

陈钢现为上海音乐学院作曲系教授。曾任第九届和第十届全国政协委员，以及中国音乐家协会理事。曾出访美国、加拿大、英国、法国、日本、新加坡、马来西亚等国，名字被载入《世界名人录》《世界音乐名人录》等。1995年，美国传记中心颁予他《国际文化荣誉证书》；2002年，荣获“斯卡莫好莱坞大奖”。在他的获奖通知书上写着：“授予您超级明星金环奖，以表彰您在音乐作曲领域所作出的杰出贡献。”而在奖状中则写道：“您用卓越的艺术，搭起了国际交流的桥梁。”一位演奏过《梁祝》和《王昭君》的小提琴家亚历山大·皮扬科夫斯基写信给陈钢说：“我曾经听过许多中国作曲家的作品，但没有一部作品能带给我如您的音乐一般辉煌的感受。”“您创造着历史，而我的心是那样贴近您音乐中的灵魂。”

CHEN GANG

Chen Gang was born in Shanghai in 1935. He is a well-known contemporary symphony music composer.

In his early years, he learned from his father Mr. Chen Gexin and Mr. Wallachia, an Hungarian pianist, on piano and composition. He was enrolled into the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1955, with advisors been Mr. Ding Shande, the president of the school, as well as Arzamanoff from Soviet Union, his major was focused in the field of music theory and composition. Before graduate,he has already composed well-known Violin Concerto The Butterfly Lovers as a joint effort with his school mate Mr. He Zhanhao.

“The Butterfly Lovers”composed in 1959, is one of the most widely circulated Chinese symphonic music in the world. It has won several golden and platinum record awards. In addition, Chen Gang created the Red Violin series in 1970’s, noteworthy pieces were Dawn at the Miao Mountain, Golden Furnace and Sun Shining Taxkorgan, of which contributed to the great collection of modern Chinese violin music. In 1986, he created Violin Concerto Wang Zhaojun, which has been called the companion piece of The Butterfly Lovers, and won the Excellent Award at the performance meet of“newly composed Chinese violin concerto works”. Wang Zhaojun was performed in Dallas, TX of the United Satates in1997, at the time when Chen Gang was granted an honorable citizen of the City of Dallas. His next violin concerto piece, Dream at the Red Chamber, composed in 2008, and was successfully performed at the“Shanghai Spring International Music Festival”.

Chen Gang also composed a first Chinese Harp Solo piece named Humming On A Fishing Boat and a first Chinese Oboe Concerto Nang Ma ——A Tibetan Chamber Music”. In his“Humming On A Fishing Boat”, he represented the essence flavor of ancient Chinese music played from“Gu Zheng”. His Oboe Concerto received critique as“having Beauty, drama, excitement and atmosphere all in one”. Chen Gang’s music is very visual. He has created musical imagery which evokes the landscape of China.

Chen Gang is currently a professor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and a key member of Chinese Music Association. He has visited the Unites States, Canada, Britain, France, Japan, Singapore Malaysia and other countries, and was treated with great respect and admiration.
