God closes one door while opening another one for you上帝关了这扇门,必会为你开启另一扇门

1.The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island.

2.He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

3.Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

4.But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

5.The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. “God, how could you do this to me!” he cried.

6.Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.

7.“How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers.

8.“We saw your smoke signal.”they replied.

9.It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn’t lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

10.Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

11.For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer.

12.You say: “It’s impossible”

13.God says: All things are possible

14.You say: “I’m too tired.”

15.God says: I will give you rest

16.You say: “Nobody really loves me”

17.God says: I love you

18.You say: “I can’t go on.”

19.God says: My grace is sufficient

20.You say: “I can’t figure things out.”

21.God says: I will direct your steps.

22.You say: “I can’t do it.”

23.God says: You can do all things.

24.You say: “I’m not able.”

25.God says: I am able.

26.You say: “It’s not worth it.”

27.God says: It will be worth it.

28.You say: “I can’t forgive myself.”

29.God says: I forgive you.

30.You say: “I’m poor.”

31.God says: I will supply all your needs.

32.You say: “I’m afraid.”

33.God says: I have not given you a spirit of fear.

34.You say: “I’m always worried and frustrated.”

35.God says: Cast all your cares on ME.

36.You say: “I don’t have enough faith.”

37.God says: I’ve given everyone a measure of faith.

38.You say: “I’m not smart enough.”

39.God says: I give you wisdom.

40.You say: “I feel all alone.”

41.God says: I will never leave you or forsake you.

第一部分:Do Not Wait...

A Goodbye Kiss

1.The Board Meeting had come to an end. Bob starred to stand up and jostled the table, spilling his coffee over his notes. “How embarrassing. I am getting so clumsy in my old age.”

2.Everyone had a good laugh, and soon we were all telling stories of our most embarrassing moments. It came around to Frank who sat quietly listening to the others. Someone said, “Come on, Frank. Tell us your most embarrassing moment.”

3.Frank began, “I grew up in San Pedro. My Dad was a fisherman, and he loved the sea. He had his own boat, but it was hard making a living on the sea. Then he would lean over and give me a big kiss on the cheek and tell me to be a good boy. It was so embarrassing for me. Here I was twelve years old, and my Dad would lean over and kiss me goodbye!”

5.He paused and then went on, “I remember the day I thought I was too old for a good-bye kiss. When we got the school and came to a stop, he had his usual big smile. He started to lean toward me, but I put my hand up and said, ‘No, D
